FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer free delivery?

 Yes. We offer:

  • Free local delivery within 75km (minimum $250 order) 
  • Free Australia-wide delivery on orders over $5,000

What is the minimum order for delivery?

 The minimum order for all local delivery orders is $250 AUD. 

How much are delivery costs beyond the local area?

 For deliveries between 75km and 200km, the delivery fee is:

  • $2 per 10km travelled

How far do you deliver?

  • We deliver up to 200km from our Taren Point location for standard orders.
  • We also offer Australia-wide delivery for qualifying large orders.

Do you deliver Australia-wide?

Yes — we offer free Australia-wide delivery on orders over $5,000.

Shipping method and timing will vary depending on your location and order size.

When will my order be delivered?

Orders placed before 5:00pm on a business day are processed with one full business day handling time. (Except Public Holidays) 

  • Delivery Schedule:
  • Order placed over Weekends → Delivered Tuesday
  • Order placed by 5pm Monday → Delivered Wednesday
  • Order placed by 5pm Tuesday → Delivered Thursday
  • Order placed by 5pm Wednesday → Delivered Friday
  • Order placed by 5pm Thursday → Delivered Monday
  • Order placed by 5pm Friday → Delivered Tuesday

Can I pick up my order?

Yes — business pick-up is available:

  • Location: Taren Point NSW
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm

Do you deliver on weekends?

 No - deliveries are currently available Monday to Friday only (Except Public Holidays) 

What if I need a specific delivery time?

Please contact us in advance. We will do our best to accommodate timing requests where possible. 

Should I place large orders in advance?

Yes — we strongly recommend placing event, corporate, or large orders early to ensure availability and smooth delivery. 

Storage & Shelf Life

How should I store my desserts?  

  • For best quality and freshness, we recommend storing all desserts in a refrigerated environment unless otherwise specified.
  • Desserts should be kept sealed and stored in a cool, stable temperature to maintain texture and flavour.

 

Can I freeze your desserts?


Yes — most of our desserts are suitable for freezing. Freezing is ideal for:

  • Bulk orders 
  • Event preparation 
  • Extended storage 

When stored correctly, products can be frozen for up to 6 months without compromising quality.


Do macarons have a different shelf life?


Yes — macarons have an extended freezer life.

  • Frozen macarons: Up to 12 months 

This makes them perfect for long-term storage and advance ordering.


How should I thaw frozen desserts?


We recommend transferring products from the freezer to the refrigerator and allowing them to thaw gradually. Avoid thawing at room temperature, as this may affect texture and quality.


Will freezing affect the quality of the desserts?


When stored and thawed correctly, our desserts maintain their flavour and structure. However, for the best possible experience, we always recommend enjoying products fresh within the refrigerated shelf life where possible.


How should I store desserts after delivery or pick-up?


Once received, desserts should be:

  • Refrigerated promptly 
  • Kept sealed in their packaging or airtight containers 
  • Stored away from direct sunlight or heat 

Proper storage ensures product quality, freshness, and food safety.

What is the shelf life of your desserts?

All Sienna Desserts products have the following shelf life guidelines:

  • Refrigerated: 5 to 7 days 
  • Frozen: Up to 6 months 

For optimal taste and presentation, we recommend consuming products within the refrigerated timeframe where possible.

Terms & Conditions

Delivery, Shipping & Collection

Minimum Order Requirement: 

  • All local delivery orders are subject to a minimum order value of $250 AUD.


Local Delivery: Free delivery within 75km

  • Sienna Desserts offers complimentary delivery within a 75km radius of our kitchen: 
  • This applies to orders meeting the minimum spend.
  • Address: 4/46–50 Bay Rd, Taren Point NSW 2229 Australia


Extended Delivery 75km to 200km: 

  • Deliveries beyond 75km and up to a maximum of 200km are available at: $2 per 10km travelled
  • All extended delivery orders must meet the $250 minimum order requirement.


Australia-Wide Delivery For large orders:

  • We offer free Australia-wide delivery on orders exceeding $5,000 AUD. 
  • Shipping methods and timeframes may vary depending on location, order size, and product requirements.


Delivery Schedule & Processing:

  • Deliveries operate Monday to Friday only (excluding public holidays)
  • Orders placed by 5:00pm (business days) require one (1) full business day handling time
  • Example: Order placed Monday before 5:00pm → Delivered Wednesday
  • All delivery timeframes are estimates only.


Business Collection (Pick-Up) Customers may collect orders from:

  • 4/46–50 Bay Rd, Taren Point NSW 2229
  • Collection Hours: Monday to Friday
  • 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Orders must be confirmed prior to collection.


Delivery Conditions 

  • Customers must provide accurate delivery details at the time of ordering
  • Delivery timeframes may be affected by traffic, weather, or operational factors
  • Sienna Desserts is not liable for delays outside of reasonable control
  • Authority to leave must be specified if unattended delivery is required


Order Responsibility

  • Once an order has been delivered or collected, responsibility transfers to the customer.
  • Appropriate storage is required to maintain product quality

  • We recommend placing large, corporate, or event orders in advance to ensure availability and scheduling.

Return and Refund Policy

At Sienna Desserts, we take pride in producing high-quality, handcrafted products. Due to the perishable nature of our desserts, our returns and refunds policy is structured in line with Australian food industry standards.


Change of Mind 

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind once an order has been confirmed, prepared, or dispatched.


This includes:

  • Incorrect selection by the customer
  • Change in personal preference
  • Orders no longer required


Perishable Goods 

As our products are perishable food items, they cannot be returned once they have been delivered or collected.

We recommend ensuring appropriate storage conditions are followed upon receipt.


Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged
  • Faulty
  • Incorrect


Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery or collection. 

To assist with your claim, please provide:

  • Order details
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographic evidence
  • Resolution Options


Where an issue is verified, Sienna Desserts may offer one of the following at our discretion:

  • Replacement of the affected product
  • Store credit
  • Partial or full refund
  • Australian Consumer Law


Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a remedy if a product:

  • Is not of acceptable quality
  • Is not as described
  • Is unsafe or unfit for its intended purpose

Customers are responsible for ensuring all order details are correct at the time of purchase, including:

  • Delivery details

We are not responsible for errors made during the ordering process.


Delivery Issues 

Sienna Desserts is not liable for:
